CACI International Software Developer, C++ (Secret) - Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
Be a part of the Army’s leader for IT acquisition services supporting diverse operational and enterprise business functions including communications, and enterprise services for Project Lead Network Enablers. From the laboratory bench in Aberdeen to the mountains of Afghanistan, this project supports every soldier, every day, everywhere.
Working with the current subcontractor and CACI program integrator, write, modify, optimize, debug and test the software currently being used in the simple key loader (SKL).
You will have the opportunity to grow a with small team of programmers, who will be the leads for CACI on the SKL for earned value management % complete assessments, IV&V, gov. test evaluations and troubleshooting.
Write C++ code to create single-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone or those which access servers or services.
Develops C++ code necessary to complete the assigned project(s) in the specified time frame according to departmental standards and guidelines.
Write, modify, and debug software for client applications.
Work with technical staff to understand and resolve software problems, resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
May help to develop the critical components of the solution, including but not limited to, security, rules infrastructure, custom adapter implementation, and application interfaces.
Uses source debuggers and visual development environments.
Profiles, analyzes and optimizes the software he/she is responsible for implementing.
Employs best practices for design, development, unit testing and test plan development.
Helps to support completed software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and in production.
May be involved in the development of software user manuals and demonstrate software.
Seeks to improve personal job related knowledge and departmental process by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
