Be a part of an exciting and innovative team that is developing and implementing the future of how the Soldier utilizes the Army Tactical Network. Our team is building a Web Application Suite that is fundamentally changing the way the Soldier accomplishes their tactical communication missions.
As a UI/UX Design Lead, you will be involved in the programming and oversight that makes sure each UI component is designed and implemented into the application effectively. You will be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes. You will also design the overall functionality of the product and iterate upon it to ensure a great user experience.
Quickly translate concepts into wireframes with an intuitive user experience.
Present design work collaborate with other team members, project stakeholders.
Facilitate client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products.
Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a targeted user base.
Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance
Seven or more years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
Expertise in InVision is a must.
Expertise in The Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.
A solid grasp of user-centered design, with a focus in Material Design concepts.
Ability to work with clients to understand and document detailed requirements.
Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to both to technical and non-technical audiences.
Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
