Position Title Design Architect
United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi
Junior Architect role which involves assisting the team leader in developing design concepts and design criteria, preparing reports, calculations, and detailed design and construction drawings. Also is assist the lead architect in obtaining permits for construction, and the review of plans and specifications submitted by consultants and contractors.
Duties & Responsibilities
Act as assistant Architect for multidiscipline consulting design teams on varying projects.
Part of the design team for a small and medium sized projects or sections of larger projects to achieve the client’s objectives to cost and project schedules.
Supervise a team of architectural technologists towards developing the design packages.
Originate drawing packages from Concept towards Detail Design and construction documents.
Prepare the presentation of plans to governing and permitting authorities for land use, zoning and permit approvals
Prepare technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses
Carry assignments to completion with minimum guidance in accordance with project objectives, professional standards, and policies and procedures.
Understanding and the ability to conduct coordination between different disciplines.
Specific skills required
Strong Design Skills and the ability to initiate concept design proposals and develop them towards workable schemes.
Familiar with researching, preparing and presenting technical presentations and reports.
Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
Expert in using Revit, CAD, Indesign, Sketch-up and other graphical soft-wares (experience in Rhino is preferred).

- 5+ years of post-qualification experience, with developing projects from concept till detail design packages
- Bachelor’s Degree in with major course work in architecture required.
