Bank of America Lead Consultant - Technology Application Engineer / Analyst in Addison, Texas

Job Description:

Position Summary

Provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and application development for specific business environments. Focus on setting technical direction on groups of applications and similar technologies as well as taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints. Demonstrate a broad understanding of systems, integration of associated systems, architecture infrastructure and tools. May be responsible for coordinating teams and a portfolio of large projects to accomplish development in a matrixed organization.

Required Skills

The team provides a centralized approach for management of consumer card vendor (third-party) hosted/managed applications, specifically for credit card rewards redemption. The role encompasses application ownership of the credit card rewards vendor integration with BAC systems, having a thorough understanding of the upstream and downstream processes. The key responsibilities would be demonstrating domain expertise of the application, documenting and articulating strategy, implementing technology solutions, partnering with the LOB and providing technology recommendations, and identifying metrics to ensure that each vendor application has controls/monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • To understand the operating model for each vendor; propose and implement change as needed

  • To understand the application strategy and actively work towards path to future state

  • To successfully collaborate with business and vendor partners and jointly set expectations

  • To manage delivery of both internal and external driven change that impacts redemption integration

  • To support Application Governance routines, rigor and deliverables

  • To lead internal engagement in vendor driven initiatives

  • To ensure appropriate SIT/UAT, regression testing of vendor change
