Job Description:

Provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and application development for specific business environments. Focus on setting technical direction on groups of applications and similar technologies as well as taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints. May be responsible for coordinating teams to accomplish development in a matrixed organization. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience

Summary:

Pega Lead System Architect, responsible for hands-on overall end to end design and implementation of enterprise class, high performing and highly integrated pega based solutions that is scalable, built for rapid change and meets functional and non-functional requirements

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of total experience in J2EE and PRPC - hands on delivery of large enterprise complex solutions

  • 5+ years of PRPC experience

  • PRPC V 6.x / Pega 7

  • PRPC Flows, Activities, Repots and Correspondence

  • Deep understanding of Design Patterns and Class Structure concepts

  • PRPC Integrations

  • SQL

  • Pega PRPC guardrails

  • BIX

  • Hands on experience in J2EE development

  • Hands on experience in Web Services development

  • Middleware Integration Experience (MQ series or similar)

  • Database Modeling and SQL query Optimization

  • Hands on Experience in Designing and Implementing Enterprise Class Complex Workflows

  • Hands on Experience in Designing and Implementing Enterprise Class Rules

  • UI design/Navigation experience

  • Worked at least on 2 projects in LSA role

  • Exposure to all the phases of the PRPC project development

  • Exposure Pega Implementation Methodology / Agile development

  • Exposure to the PRPC Case Management

  • Should be able to provide estimates/sizing for high level requirements

  • Exposure to Internet Application Composer

  • Packaging and Deployment

  • Sound understanding of the Pega PRPC features

  • Ability to come up with alternate solutions when product challenges are met

  • Performance Tuning

  • Inbound and Outbound Integration via Web Services, Middleware and other interfaces

  • Microsoft Visio, Rational Rose or Similar UML tools, UI Design and Development, Integration Development (SOA)

  • See Skill Specific Experience above, J2EE application servers ( any of Websphere, Jboss, Beblogic, Tomcat), RDBMS Development ( any of Oracle, MS- SQL Server)

  • Experience in developing the Pega PRPC Applications in the Mortgage, Financial Institutions is a plus

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.Should be able to work with minimum supervision following the Pega PRPC best practices. Author Technical Documentation, Familiarity with SDLC process, Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Certified PRPC Lead System Architect

  • Component-based design

  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience

  • Past BAC experience a plus
