About the role

In your newrole you will promote, sell and control the events from initial enquiry tocontracting and seek new opportunities to drive corporate and group roomnights. You will efficiently qualify andsell the hotel for conferences, events and group accommodation. Responsible for maximising revenueopportunities through continually seeking new business opportunities, bydriving sales leads and increasing conversions whilst building powerfulcustomer relationships that deliver repeat business. You will also assist in the training, leadingand driving of junior team members ensuring that targets and standards are met. Assist in making Hilton events the marketleader.


  • Assist with travel or tradeshows from time to time when required
  • Assist with and attend hotel special events eg. Corporate functions etc.
  • Assist with sales blitz
  • Contribute to upcoming sales and marketing initiatives for the three month rolling plan
  • Maximise rooms, groups, conference and events revenue through proactive selling and commercial management techniques
  • Manage corporate accounts to ensure delivery of expected room nights and maximise all revenue opportunities through total account management
  • Convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales
  • Develop future and repeat business, contributing to the profitability of the hotel
  • Handle all customer enquiries with a professional telephone manner and demonstrate high standards of customer service
  • Develop and expand current existing accounts, focusing on achieving repeat business and upselling opportunities
  • Seek proactive opportunities to increase sales and conversions with the team
  • Focus on a consistently executed upselling approach
  • Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs
  • Arrange and carry out hotel show arounds which may fall outside of normal office hours or weekends
  • Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events
  • Participate in hotel promotional activities


  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Conference& Event Sales is essential
  • Knowledge of Delphi is essential
  • Strong selling skills and understandthe processes to close the sale
  • Proficient in meeting room set-ups,audio visual and other support services
  • Fluent in the English language inorder to communicate professionally with guests and team members, both inperson and over the telephone
  • A passion for delivering exceptionalguest experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to resolveproblems and conflict, and work effectively under pressure
  • Good organisational and administrationskills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • High level of IT skills
  • Well-presented and calm personality
