Summary: TheProperty Accountability Managerwill maintain property accountability of all program property including requirements determination, inventory, storage, replenishment, and disposable as well as establish inventory schedules and providing property policy guidance to the program staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Coordinates property procurement and maintenance activities.

  • Reviews property-related data, such as inventories, budgets, planning reports, vendor brochures, and excess property and property request reports, to obtain information on property status, needs, and availability.

  • Writes, fills out, and reviews contract specifications, purchase orders and estimates, and transfer forms to effect property transactions.

  • Contacts vendors and potential users, and inspects and inventories acquired and transferred property.

Supervisory Responsibilities:This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities; however, it will require management of projects and deliverables that may be supported by junior staff and or other Government/Contract staff.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • 3 years of experience and a BA/BS degree. Four years of additional relevant experience can be substituted for education.

  • 3 or more years of experience as a Property Accountability Manager (or similar role) on a DoD program.

  • Secret Clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communications skills (both written and oral), strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.

  • Possess and will maintain a valid state operator's license.

  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.

  • Ability to occasionally work after hours and/or on-call support.

  • Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements.
