Job Summary

AECOM has a great opportunity for a

Procurement Clerk supporting our program in Alice Springs, Australia. The Procurement Clerk provides support for the Purchase of non-Complex, non-Critical, Common Off The Shelf (COTS) goods & services including subscription payments to support JDFPG following the standard purchasing principles of Right Item, Right Price, Right Delivery. The Procurement Clerk will perform the PR to PO cycle for non-Complex, non-Critical COTS goods & services & subscriptions, maintaining & filing all Purchase Order files in compliance with procedures; communicate, liaise & expedite proactively to requestors the status of their PR’s; conduct and maintain a cordial, professional relationship with all vendors. Additionally, the selected candidate will undertake all work in a safe and professional manner in compliance with JDFPG EH&S Handbook and be committed to the JDFPG EH&S policy; in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the AECOM Procurement manual conduct purchasing processes to support JDFPG operations; be responsible for & perform the complete PR to PO cycle (PR-RFQ-Evaluation-PO-Expediting-Discrepancies-Close out) for procurement of non-Complex non-Critical COTS goods & services & subscriptions in accordance with AECOM Company Procurement Manual & the FAR; check authorizations for both SAP PR’s & manual BPA requests; review purchase requests descriptions submitted by the requester for accuracy and required detail for the efficient procurement of goods and services; conduct Request for Quote (RFQ) process, evaluate, & determine award or loss within the Delegation of Authority (DoA); create and issue to vendors accurate Purchase Orders within Delegation of Authority comprising all commercial & statutory requirements; maintain in the PO file accurate records of RFQ solicitations/decisions, award/loss; expedite routinely the delivery of supplies; discrepancies are to be resolved by the Procurement Clerk liaising as required with internal sections of Receiving, Accounts Payable & externally with Vendors; ensure operational tasks are undertaken in a manner that is consistent with supporting the mission; awareness of security requirements when carrying out procurement activities; demonstrate a positive approach towards Equal Employment Opportunity and Equity principles and policies; and perform other duties as directed by the Subcontracts and Purchasing Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active, fully adjudicated Top Secret security clearance is required.

  • Proactive attitude.

  • Understand Purchasing Cycle.

  • Work under minimal supervision at the Delegation of Authority.

  • Accept Challenges.

  • Ability to take the initiative within Delegation.

  • Sound record keeping and administrative skills.

  • Ability to operate required SAP modules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MRO experience ( Maintenance Repairs & Operations aka Directs) .

  • MRP experience.

  • SAP knowledge.

  • Display an understanding of Risk Management

  • Problem resolution skills.

  • Knowledge of USG procurement regulations.
