Position Title Procurement Officer
Australia - Australian Capital Territory
AECOM has an opportunity for a Procurement Officer at our facility in Alice Springs, Australia.
Serve as procurement officer (buyer), as a team member, responsible for executing a range of procurement processes as assigned by the Team leader.
Respond to procurement priorities as directed providing timely, solution orientated advice to stakeholders when required.
Responsible for performing procurement activities in accordance with AECOM and USG policies and procedures.
Responsible for expediting the delivery of supplies or services when required or directed.
Responsible for working with Logistic Specialists to resolve discrepancies in delivery, particularly pertaining to price.
Responsible for working with Accounts Payable personnel to ensure effective flow of information that will enable timely and correct payment of invoices.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records of procurement decisions.
Responsible for Approving Purchase Orders within the scope of assigned delegations and process.
Responsible for conducting requests for Quote (RFQ) activities with vendors to assist in the competitive acquisition of goods, subject to USG approval.
Will expedite the delivery of supplies or services when required or directed.
Responsible for reviewing procurement requests, to ensure appropriate authorization has been provided in accordance with policies and directives.
Must actively monitor and manage the administration and closure of purchase orders and contracts as prescribed in US Purchasing requirements.
Will raise concerns with procurement processes, or conflicting priorities, with the procurement Team Leader.
Will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of data within SAP of procurement related data specific to assigned procurement activities.
Ensure operational tasks are undertaken in a manner that is consistent with supporting the mission.
Other duties as directed by the Small Purchases Section Team Leader.
Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a NV1 (Secret) Department of Defense Security Clearance.
Current NT Driver’s License.
Prior procurement experience a plus\
Knowledge/experience with the Microsoft Office software suite
Excellent etiquette in all modes of communication used within the workplace.
The ability to visualize, articulate, and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems and concepts and make decisions that make sense based on all available information.
The ability to apply and improve extensive or in-depth specialized knowledge, skills, judgment by assessing and translating information into responsive and effective procurement solutions.
- Certificate IV in Government Procurement and Contracts or equivalent experience.
