Frontier Communications VP, Marketing and Product Development in ALLEN, Texas

Summary of Position

The Vice President of Marketing and Product will lead the marketing and product resources, driving sales through the development and implementation of effective strategy coupled with the day-to-day management of the marketing team and driving development of profitable new products for the Commerical Team. The position requires business acumen to include knowledge of technology, finance, and public relations with experience in commercial, residential, and wholesale markets. Using traditional and social marketing, along with creative deal making, the VP of Marketing will lead promotions, programs, and partnerships that extend Frontiers reach in both traditional and new market segments. As a key member of the team, you will assist in the overall strategic direction of the company and will be responsible for the acquisition and retention of customers in accordance with budget and timeline directives.

  • Team member coaching, development, and performance based management
  • Understanding of various distribution vehicles with emphasis on Alternate Channels

  • There will be interaction with executive leadership, region leaders, and local managers to share information at all levels of the organization insuring successful utilization of resources and initiatives.

Responsibilities

50%

Lead the marketing and product teams for the Commerical Team to include hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, terminations, and other directives as required. Provide tactical direction and oversight of campaigns and promotions.

20%

Develop and implement the strategic marketing plan to insure all marketing and sales budgets meet P&L; targets and timelines.

15%

Identify new vendors and work closely with existing partners to ensure performance to previously established discussions, goals, and contracts.

10%

Forecast units and revenues on a monthly basis reporting results to finance. Develop and report metrics to include quality of service and customer satisfaction tied to the overall customer experience.

5%

Communicate plans, directives, and issues to all appropriate levels of the organization to insure an open dialogue with executive leadership and local market leaders.

  • Technical Project Planning and Execution: The ability to define objectives, assessing the technical suitability of the available resources, changing them where necessary, identifying milestones and Key Performance Indicators, assessing and moving to counter risks and evaluating progress.
  • Financial Management: Ability to read financial statements, interpret and develop metrics, and prepare business plans with an eye on return on investment, equity, and capital.
  • Analytics: Knowledge of Market Share concepts, Propensity Models, and model development.
  • Position Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in leading marketing or product management with success in meeting budgets and timelines for a division or operation unit of a customer centric business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field.
  • Success in developing consumer programs, promotions, strategies within a service or communications industry to include contract negotiation, preparation, and development.
  • Practical and pragmatic business leadership style in order to develop new innovative solutions that are highly valued by the company’s customers.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with strong negotiation experience

  • Financial Management: The combination of understanding the financial dynamics of the business, the concept of risk and thorough analysis to drive sound decision making and problem solving. He/She must be the advocate for investing in new innovations, as well as making sound financial recommendations that are in line with the business needs.
  • Experience managing and organizing departments, programs, and projects with the ability to seamlessly multi-task and lead multiple high-priority, time-sensitive initiatives in parallel.
  • Experience analyzing and presenting market, industry, and company information to support, identify, and educate regarding plans, targets, priorities, and the like.
  • Ability to travel 40% or more depending on the needs of the business.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operators’ License and clean driving record.
