The Cloud Services team provides scalable cloud infrastructure and platforms to all McKesson business units. Currently we are looking for a leader who likes to dig in and find actionable insights to deliver business value to our customers. You will work closely with the Cloud team to establish a sustainable data model and build dynamic dashboards and visualizations with a focus on financial and infrastructure health. You will be counted on to lead and evolve these capabilities as new technologies emerge and be a champion for the value of data-driven decision making across the organization.

Position Description:

The Cloud Analytics Manager will be responsible for the establishment of our analytics capabilities on which new business metrics, utilization insights, and self-serve analysis will be enabled to optimize the overall Cloud Services experience. In this role, you will partner across teams using agile methodologies to quickly deliver high value solutions.

Key areas of focus include:

Define and Implement Analytics

  • Define and execute long-term data strategy as well as short-term priorities to deliver immediate value

  • Analyze and identify source data, designing the data extraction and loading approach to create the cloud service data model, leveraging the big data (mDNA) platform and existing cloud analytics tools

  • Implement and manage the data infrastructure, reporting/visualization tools and processes necessary to enable data-informed decision-making across the organization

  • Explore and recommend emerging technologies and techniques to support/enhance analytics landscape components.

Establish Governance

  • Partner with key stakeholders and establish best practices, standards and guidelines for creation, storage and publishing of data, metrics, and analytics

  • Drive processes and standards to maintain a highly reliable and accurate data warehouse, reporting, and ETL

Drive Value

  • Use data to tell a story. Make insights and recommendations to help customers optimize cost and/or performance of cloud resources and work with BU partners to share and implement recommendation

  • Build dynamic and rich dashboards using out-of-box features, customizations, and visualizations.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and create custom reports to support cross functional areas of the business

  • Foster a data culture through data fluency and self-service analytics to enable key decision makers to reach important insights independent

Minimum Requirements:

4 years specific systems experience including 2 years managerial experience

Critical Skills:

  • Strong interest and intellectual curiosity about data, databases and reporting / BI functions

  • Successful track record of high value contributions in scaling cloud analytics, BI, data integrations, data management and governance, preferably in a technology company using SaaS, PaaS, and other cloud technologies

  • Experience using cloud storage and computing technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc.

  • Experience with Analysis and Visualizing Big Data with Tableau or equivalent

  • Expertise in data loading and building algorithms based on data insights in Big Data platforms

  • Strong coding and analytic technical skills (e.g., Python, SQL, Javascript, Linux/Unix)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to think creatively, critically, and thrive in a self-driven work environment

  • Working knowledge of Cloud Optimization tools such as Cloudyn, Cloud Cruiser, Power BI desirable

  • Experience supporting cloud invoices, bill reconciliation, cost tracking and issuing bills to customers

Education:

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
