Job Description:

CACI Enterprise IT Operations has an opportunity for an ITIL Systems Engineer to support a large and complex IT enterprise program. As a recognized industry-wide authority, you will provide both internal and external consulting services. Work independently on advanced systems/software analysis projects. You are also expected to remain current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments/applications.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Some of your Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES will include the following:

-In this role you will provide ITIL and managed service delivery expertise through proven and effective managed service delivery, process improvement, and implementation of best practices.

  • Assist in assessing demand, understanding and implementing the future-state vision (including refinement of the service strategy, service catalog, service management model, and service delivery model).

-Evaluate the current state (identify gaps and analyze alternatives) against target-state objectives, and identify the potential barriers to achievement (risk) and participating in the annual Unwind Plan updates/review.

-You will also be required to communicate with other program personnel, government management, and senior executives.

-Develop service delivery SLAs and policies and procedures for successful ITSM/ITIL and ServiceNow implementation.

-Leads the applicable and innovative IT services, including their architecture, processes, policies, and documentation, to meet current and future mission/SLA requirements, reduce service complexity and increase infrastructure agility.

-Plans, designs, implements, and maintains Enterprise Exchange systems in integration with a large scale Enterprise environment.

-Provides technical direction and oversees integration and prototype development efforts.

-Works closely with the Delivery team and customers to assess feasibility of requested deliverables and establish product delivery schedule.

-Provides input into commitments and schedules.

-Works closely and actively with other team members to ensure that interdependent deliverables are accomplished according to schedule. This includes the creation of internal documents, documentation, testing, samples, etc.

-Takes ownership and ensures proactive closure for problem reports that fall within or appear to fall within area of responsibility; works closely with internal customers to quickly and successfully closeout problem reports.

-Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system.

Desired Qualifications:

-ITIL Practitioner Certification

-CompTIA Security + Certification

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 18 years of related experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
