Job Description:


The hired candidate will serve as the webmaster for and other CACI external websites and social media channels. He/she will set company standards for web content design and aesthetics, helping to create a new look and feel for the company's online presence, leveraging their UI/UX design and front-end development experience. As an experienced strategist skilled in driving website traffic and creating content that attracts, appeals to, and informs users, he/she will advise on how to best optimize content for online deployment. Using a combination of HTML, JavaScript, and other programming languages, he/she will create web front-end user interfaces for new or exciting databases and be responsible for web development and content updates, including daily maintenance, posting, and enhancements.


Uses web design expertise in working with clients to develop concepts from which to propose a custom application/web design/process, developed the use case, and write, tests the code.

Review, analyzes and modifies web systems including documenting, designing, developing, testing, monitoring, and maintaining as specified by management.

Creates and maintains custom programs for website utilizing various updated and cutting edge technologies. Develops and implements web and social media strategies to drive traffic to the company's website and social media channels.

Developments improvements for existing processes.

Develops and implements proprietary content & data management system built with various technologies into new and existing websites.

With expertise and precision in mobile responsive, codes web pages utilizing HTML5, CSS, and and other computer coding languages, following industry standards.

Works in several programming languages including SQL, PHP, and JavaScript as well as combinations of languages such as AJAX.

Works in several development frameworks including .NET, Ruby on Rails, Smarty, PEAR, and Bootstrap.

Works with a variety of databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server among others. Work within a variety of database frameworks including ODBC and ADO.

Install or customizes modules and features for Open Source and proprietary software packages.

Responsible for content and aesthetics of company web sites. Edits, links, create graphics, and provides specifications for the development of databases, interactive applets, and custom graphics. Utilizes knowledge of technical organization and operations.

Responsible for performing the day-to-day site maintenance on web sites, setting company standards for design, performing navigation and browser compatibility, performing quality-control for third party content, and maintaining and develops small web applications.

Documents web best practices and writes maintainable HTML/ASP code with lots of comment tags, assists in development of a new look and feel for web sites, updates all content, and advises staff and others on how to best optimize their content for online deployment.

Ensures compliance with applicable legal requirements and client/company policies on web site usage, security, and standards.

Stays current with development and changes in web publishing techniques, and with emerging technologies in web-based applications and file standards.

Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms

Maintain Section 508 compliance

Background in graphic arts and design (should have a sense of visual design)

Experience with Photoshop and/or other graphic applications

Optimize images/graphics, UI/UX, and interactivity to load faster while maintaining quality and ensuring the same visual standards are upheld across a variety of browsers (incl. mobile)

Knowledge and experience with SEO, marketing, and social media

Help protect site by designing with security precautions


Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 10 to 12 years of related experience.

Familiarity with different web platforms/content management systems and their implementation, website best practices, website and webpage design, website search engine optimization, web analytics, and social media channel design and strategy (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube).

Knowledge of industry standards.

Excellent communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management throughout the company.

Experience working at a federal government contractor providing information solutions and services for intelligence, defense, and federal civilian customers preferred.


Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
