Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

CACI is looking for a technical writer to provide support for a large-scale software implementation program for a federal civilian agency.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Key RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Organizes, writes, edits and produces technical documentation per project standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology

  • Observes subject matter experts, participates in software demonstration sessions, and documents results

  • Coordinates and schedules meeting logistics with government, CACI and potential 3rd party vendors

  • Coordinates of the editing, composition, production, and delivery in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, and other requirements

  • Participates in the establishment of guidelines and standards for text and graphics

  • Conducts research on the subject matter including observing subject matter experts, participating in software demonstrations, documenting results

  • Coordinates the quality-control activities required to ensure the accuracy and adequacy of each publication, including in-process and final reviews, editing for compliance with all applicable specifications and standards, validation, and change verification

  • that quality publications are produced

  • Completes all projects within the established schedules and authorized funding

  • Complies with all applicable specifications, standards, and other project constraints

Required Skills:

  • Work well in team environment

  • 2-3 years experience with MS-Office Product suiteEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related (technical writing/editing) experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
