Home Depot MERCHANDISING SUPPORT ASSOC in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION PURPOSE

Support Merchandising Departments in the daily execution of merchandising activities such as vendor support, store support, and support for special projects as determined by the Merchants/Merchandise Planners and the Merchandising Support leadership. Resolve product/SKU issues and help with the tactical duties associated with category management. Partner with Merchants, Senior Merchants, DMMs and other appropriate Home Depot teams to resolve store, vendor and SKU issues. Merchandising Support Associates will support multiple departments and categories based on business needs; priorities will be set by the centralized Merchandising Support Team.

20%-Vendor Setup and Support

20%-Store Ticket Resolution

20%-Pricing Execution and Support

15%-Assortment Maintenance and Support

25%-Special Projects as assigned (e.g., new SKU set-up, buyback execution, fee compliance support, etc.)

NATURE AND SCOPE

Position reports to Senior Manager, Merchandising Solutions

This position has no direct reports

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
