Verizon Sr. Financial Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis in Atlanta, Georgia
What you’ll be doing...
Verizon Telematics is in search of a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A. This role is crucial to the consolidated reporting aspect of the FP&A team. The role's main responsibility is financial reporting, consolidation, and general support for corporate and executive requirements. It will focus heavily on special projects driving internal process/cost improvements, continually identifying opportunities to automate / streamline reporting, and project manage Executive level presentations for the C-Suite.
Project Manage and prepare Executive presentations
Create consolidated reporting to drive cost and process improvements across the enterprise
Prepare monthly and quarterly actual-to-budget variance analysis reports
Work closely with departmental senior management to understand variances and provide explanations to executive team. Research, analyze and help explain any variance to projections
Own corporate expense forecast and consolidation of financial statements
Maintain forecast up-to-date within the applicable financial reporting system
Coordinate the annual budget process and periodic forecasting. Prepare, analyze and consolidate financial projections
Ad hoc projects (both as assigned and as suggested by the applicant)
What we’re looking for...
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in Finance/Accounting. Preferred 5 years+.
Ability to manage and analyze large quantities of data to find relevant information for use by multiple levels of management
Proven analytical and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detail oriented with respect to ensuring deadlines are met without any negative impact to operations
Strong excel skills including extensive experience with vlookups, logic formulas, pivot tables, complex nested formula’s, macro experience a plus
Strong PowerPoint skills required
Salesforce.com, and Hyperion experience a plus
Additional preferred experiences that will prove beneficial to candidates include: international experience; public company reporting; and experience in high growth environment
Must possess decisive style, strong analytical skills and ability to work in dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
Confidence to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of quality
Excellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills
Must be flexible as assignments/role duties shift in the company’s dynamic environment
Ability to work independently in a deadline oriented environment
