Summary: We are currently seeking an Ops Integrator/Technical Trainer to support the ongoing development effort for Bodhi, a new tool that provides situational awareness and a common operational picture (COP) for watchfloors, leadership and workforces across both the IC and DoD. This individual participates in the development of Bodhi course material and curriculum, helps integrate Bodhi into mission operations, and provides complex training, demonstration, outreach and briefing support at corporate, IC and DoD CONUS and OCONUS locations. Interacting with customers, in addition to other Bodhi team members involved in integration, engineering, and marketing, this individual identifies and defines customer requirements captured during Bodhi training efforts - both mobile and virtual, and uses this information to provide an informed operational perspective to ongoing software development efforts.
Travel: Although likely closer to 25%, this position may require up to 50% travel in support of Bodhi mobile training and outreach efforts.
Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key contributor to ongoing Bodhi training efforts conducted at both corporate and customer locations.
In support of outreach efforts, provide assistance in introducing Bodhi to new customers and integrating it into missions across the IC and DoD.
Work in parallel with factory agile software development and related training efforts to remain current on new tool functionality.
Help develop training courses that address all levels of user, spanning a variety of different mission applications.
Bring operational and analytical perspective to Bodhi engineering and development activities.
Provide briefing and demonstration support to various IC and DOD customers as requested by the program.
Support factory efforts to design and develop complex technical training programs and curriculum for Bodhi. This includes classroom, virtual, and mobile aspects of the overall training effort.
Research and prepare technical/user manuals, as required or requested, to support Bodhi training efforts.
Work with engineering, technical support, and product owners to ensure that materials are accurate and reflect current product features.
Create, gather, review and analyze course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions.
Prepare recommendations and reports to senior level personnel and/or management.
Capture customer requirements and feedback for possible inclusion in future development efforts.
Implement approved revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.
Create, review and update classroom training materials such as student handouts, lesson plans, and practical exercises as required.
Mentor less experienced trainers.
Clearly articulate customer requirements and recommended tool enhancements to the factory engineering/development staff.
Closely collaborate across locations, with all other members of the Bodhi Team.
Work with and provide support to government program management and related government outreach efforts.
Typically requires BA/BS degree or equivalent and 7-9 years of related experience
Ability to work independently, but to also contribute to overall team goals
Prior trainer/instructor experience
Prior experience serving, working with or training the military
Strong oral and written communications skills
Proven, detail-oriented and critical thinking skills
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work with and support end users with varying levels of technical competence and seniority – government, military and contractor
Previous experience using the MIST Toolsuite, SAVANT and BVI
IC/DoD watchfloor experience
Experience using multi-INT data in an operational setting
Knowledge of and experience with National Systems
Experience in the creation of training materials
Background in adult learning and/or instructional systems design
Previous experience supporting both DoD and Intelligence Community customers
Knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
Prior experience using JIRA software
Understanding of agile software development
Prior systems engineering support to software development efforts
