Eaton Corporation General Manager - Architectural Lighting in Aurora, Colorado
Eaton, located in Aurora, CO is searching for a General Manager for their Architectural Lighting business. The General Manager is responsible for the overall success, growth, and profitability of a collection of Architectural Lighting brands, including new product development, achieving the operating plan, and driving operational excellence. The General Manager will be responsible for identification, development, and execution of short term and long term initiatives to support profitable growth.
•Manages the Profit and Loss for assigned Architectural Lighting brand.
•Facilitates the implementation of program management processes at the site. Manages effective customer communication and improves organizational responsiveness to customer requirements.
•Develops and executes product development projects, customer training, sales force training, and market programs to obtain acceptable growth in incoming orders and insure continued growth and profitability of assigned Architectural Lighting brand.
•Continuously monitors competitive standing of current products in relation to price, features and performance. Analyze competitors' actions, product developments, product policies, and activities. Prepares and publishes appropriate details for use by Field Sales.
•Recommends and develops marketing strategies and programs along with promotional materials to increase market share of existing products.
•Analyzes pricing structure and makes relative to pricing levels in the market place. Continuously monitors the market to ensure competitive pricing structure relative to competition while meeting margin objectives.
•Coordinates the training of new and existing agents, distributors, etc., relating to products. Conducts major product presentation in conjunction with promotions, new product introductions, as well as existing product line training. Also conducts major account presentations relative to products.
•Plans and supervises execution of distributor promotions, including rules and approval of all print copy for promotional advertising and/or items. Coordinates training of outside personnel for promotional presentations.
•Develops sales promotional literature and sales aids to support the regional and national sales personnel and professionally represent the products to agents, distributors and contractors. Items include product brochures, condensed catalogs and comprehensive product line catalogs.
•Directs and manages talent management – assessing current team members, identifying needs, selecting talent, and developing current employees to ensure “bench strength” and continued development and advancement of top talent within the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 10 years of professional Sales, Marketing and/or Product
Minimum of 5 years of experience with new product development.
Minimum of 5 years of lighting fixture manufacturing or electrical/architectural experience.
Must be eligible to work in the US on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Capacity to lead change in an integrated team environment.
Proficiency in program and project management methodologies, processes and tools.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
Broad knowledge of the lighting fixture industry.
Management with Engineering, Manufacturing, and or Product Development Management teams.
