IBM Associate Partner, Consumer - Center of Competency in Austin, Texas

The Retail and Consumer Products Center of Competence (CoC) is a global team of industry experts that work to accelerate sales, help in early stage delivery, and build IBM’s eminence in the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods space. We are currently looking for industry experts to join our team with a focus on one or both of the following areas: Consumer Products Sales and/or Consumer Products Marketing.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Engagement Leadership: Leading the delivery of one or more work streams or multiple work products on major portions of large or medium engagements. Leading engagements independently and leading Project Management Office (PMO) activities.Sales and Proposal Management: Establishing project vision and objectives with the client. Leading the proposal team in the development of solutions to client’s issues and the definition of the project scope and approach. Understanding and abiding by the quality assurance guidelines. Drafting and reviewing responses to Requests for Information (RFI), responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), IBM contracts, and IBM Statements of Work.Project Delivery: Assisting with the client sale and early stages of client delivery, ensuring transition from sales to delivery team. Leading work sessions and deliverable presentations with client Chief Executive Officer (CxO) members. Identifying and securing new and follow on work with clients.People Management: Mentoring junior consultants on the proposal team, project manager and other junior delivery consultants.Relationship Management: Developing relationships with client executives at CxO level. Demonstrating an executive presence with the ability to establish credibility in first client meeting.Knowledge Management: Responsible for use and collection of intellectual capital throughout their engagements.This position will require frequent global travel.

  • At least 5 years experience in one or more of the following Consumer Products domain skills: Sales and/or Marketing.
