IBM Cloud Object Storage - Consolidation Analysis Lead in Austin, Texas

The Cloud Object Storage (COS) Consolidation Analysis Lead will report to the COS Controller and will be responsible for the overall financial planning and reporting of a rapidly growing business. This entails compiling the monthly financials from various sources, detailed variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. This role also supports the controller and CFO in preparing for monthly reviews as well as ad hoc analysis. This individual needs to be very comfortable with modelling and analysis, have a notable ability to synthesize data from other IBM business units, and demonstrates a high degree of resourcefulness. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with other individuals both inside and outside of COS to understand the changing drivers of our business and synthesize that knowledge into meaningful analysis and ideas. With a strong reliance on data and analysis, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining financial models to enable detailed budgeting and forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasts

  • Lead the monthly close process

  • Foster relationships and coordinate planning and reporting with stakeholders across IBM

  • Identify information streams for the COS finance team and assist in process improvement

  • Provide meaningful financial information on a monthly and quarterly basis, including information for executive presentation and reporting

  • Provide analysis as requested by the Controller or CFO

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum of 7 years of corporate finance experience preferably with a technology company

  • Expert with advanced functions of MS Excel

  • Located in or around the Greater Chicago area
