IBM Digital Marketing Content Strategist – PartnerWorld Program in AUSTIN, Texas

In this global Digital Marketing Content and Communications role, you will be responsible for planning, writing, producing, publishing and coordinating Business Partner facing content and communication tactics to raise business partner awareness of, and participation in, a range of programs and initiatives. The specific responsibilities of this role focus on the PartnerWorld Program portfolio of offerings.You will work across geography and business unit teams to plan, develop and execute an appropriate mix of content and communication tactics inclusive of web, social, e-newsletters, email, video and deliverable content and include both inbound and outbound marketing. The content you develop and manage will focus primarily on engaging IBM Business Partners to market, sell and implement solutions based on the PartnerWorld Program portfolio but will also include support of other cross-brand or corporate initiatives at times. You will also help to ensure that Business Partners are provided with digital marketing content they can use in marketing IBM based solutions to their clients.Working as part of a global team representing the other Business Units and the PartnerWorld program you will contribute to managing the overall Business Partner editorial calendar and prioritizing and integrating your portfolio of content into a cohesive IBM “Story” for Business Partners.Ideally you should have experience in Channel Marketing, so that you understand the needs of IBM Business Partners and related internal audiences. You should be comfortable reaching out to Business Partners to understand their communications needs and areas for improvement as well to analysts and media to identify competitive trends.Key responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and executing integrated digital marketing content and communications plans, including global launches and announcements

  • Adapting and editing existing content to ensure it addresses the specific interests and needs of the Business Partner audience. Writing and developing new content as needed.

  • Selecting the appropriate mix of delivery vehicles for message content to accomplish the plan objective.

  • Using key content management tools including PWGo, CCDb and others to effectively target and tag your content for appropriate audiences

  • Engaging with web, social engagement, and Digital Content specialist teams to execute those elements of your plans and deliver your content to Business Partners through those media

  • Managing the content development process with a clear view of priorities and lead times to ensure content is developed, reviewed, approved and delivered on schedule

    Critical skills include:

  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills.

  • Understanding of IBM strategy and the Business Partner audiences. Able to articulate IBM messaging in terms of value to the Business Partner

  • Understanding of the business strategy and portfolio for the assigned business unit.

  • Outstanding interpersonal / customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on time delivery of quality content across a range of media and content contributors

  • Keen eye to detail - Proven ability to review content and ensure adherence to IBM standards and various style guides

  • Understanding of digital and social content formats

Preferred location is Austin. Would consider North Castle.DPT2

  • Readiness to travel 10% travel annually
