IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is currently seeking an Executive Consultant with deep expertise in Banking and Financial Markets and demonstrated success in engagement delivery. The Executive Consultant will have delivery and client service responsibility for a set of offerings within a domain and contribute to practice development and people management. The Executive Consultant brings thought leadership and understands the business challenges of banking and financial markets clients and through working with practice executives, clients and IBM staff, will develop and deliver solutions to those challenges in order to contribute to our growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a member of the practice leadership team, contributing to strategy, practice development, offering development and talent management

  • Navigate the complex environment of working within the largest financial services institutions in the world

  • Develop deep relationships within client organizations and work in cross-functional teams across diverse stakeholder groups, including client business and technical organizations, IBM's domestic and global delivery organizations and third party software vendors.

  • Provide industry perspectives on Risk & Compliance, Retail Banking and Commercial Banking and lessons learned from experiences gained and contribute to thought leadership and point of view materials aligned with select domain

  • Define program outcomes and re-engineer Risk Management, Banking and Capital Markets related processes

  • Facilitate the evaluation, selection and implementation of supporting systems and tools

  • Exercise strong analytical skills

  • Lead project teams to successful project delivery

  • Translate winning proposals into referenceable client project delivery – leading medium to large project teams with responsibility for overall successful delivery

  • Maintain high client satisfaction by exceeding expectations and delivery excellence; build strong delivery teams with predictable performance

  • Inspire and mentor our consultants, with a focus on building expertise our clients value, external brand eminence and accelerating career advancement of strong/top performers

  • At least 8 years of experience in managing or consulting in the Insurance industry

  • At least 7 years of experience managing relationship and delivering presentation to senior level client in Insurance industry

  • Proven successful recording of designing, delivering and modernizing/enhancing Banking solutions/policies.
