They will have to use client management skills to navigate the client hierarchies and understand competing agendas. The candidate for the position of Microservices/API Architect should have the ability to understand business functions, construct a solution architecture around Microservices and APIs and the ability to decompose monolith applications into meaningful implementable Microservices and APIs in a Cloud/DevOps environment. The candidate should have application development experience. They should have experience in delivering business applications. Facility with IBM Mainframe COBOL/CICS is essential, as is development experience in the JAVA Linux environment. Mainframe experience with Batch and Online programs and DB2 is required. Additional nice to haves are ADABAS/Natural as well as a basic understanding of Assembly Language. Should have Java and Linux knowledge and demonstrated deep framework skills with as J2EE, Angular.JS, EJB, Node.JS and Express. Experience with Relational Databases is required with a working knowledge of Oracle, MYSQL, Hadoop and SQLServer. The ideal candidate will have experience with Agile, Domain Driven Design, Scrum and the AD Life Cycle.
