IBM Project Executive in Austin, Texas

IBM is seeking to add a Project Executive to the Global Technology Services team who will be key in constructing partnerships between IBM teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractor organizations. The Project Executive will manage the implementation of these partnerships to address business opportunities for the IBM Corporation. They bring to this role an equal balance of skills in five key general management areas of client relationship management to include: consultative selling, financial/business management, portfolio/program management, and team/people management. As the primary focal and owner of all activities on a large complex contract, the Project Executive will also be accountable for:

  • Meeting revenue, profit, and growth objectives and for improving overall customer satisfaction targets.

  • Building and maintaining client relationships at all levels with the objective of being a trusted business partner.

  • Proactively working with the client to identify their business objectives, priorities, and directions, critical success factors, and applies this knowledge to establish an implement an Account Strategy.

  • Translating customer requirements into formal agreements, establishing specific solutions, and leading the efforts that culminate in client acceptance of the results.

  • Having an overall responsibility for your contractual cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables.

  • Managing IBM resources and coordinating client resources to deliver services and solutions to support the client organization.

  • Demonstrating and being recognized for business acumen by the customer set supported.

  • At least 8 years experience in IT Infrastructure or complex program management

  • At least 8 years experience in demonstrated success in selling or consultative sales

  • At least 8 years experience in direct client interfacing roles with business and financial management responsibilities

  • Readiness to travel 75% travel annually
