  • Assemble, handle and clean mechanical and optical hardware such as mirrors, lens, and electronic and/or electro-mechanical assemblies

  • Mix and use of paints, epoxies, bonding and sealing of components and the use of a cleaning agents required to complete assigned tasks

  • Work using self-inspection as the guideline for quality work

  • Perform quality inspections and acceptance tasks

  • Work in a team environment completing tasks from limited engineering information, assembly drawings, sketches, written and verbal instructions, established test procedures and shop order packages

  • Use various types of equipment, electrical, electronic and mechanical, necessary to complete tasks

  • Demonstrate compliance to safety and environmental procedures

  • Team member and participate in Team meeting when required

Basic Qualifications:

  • College/trade school or equivalent experience

  • 6 years of experience in precision assembly, plus alignment and checkout of system components

  • Ability to perform precision layout and have experience with mechanical, optical and electronic measuring equipment

  • Knowledge of micro-electronic and related specifications required for top level system assembly

  • Familiar with all requirements to support integration and test support

  • Ability to perform all essential job functions and environmental/physical consideration should be able to lift 50-75 pounds per Employee Requisition

  • Understand and be able to exhibit the quality requirements for workmanship and the knowledge of system requirements necessary for job completion

  • Must be computer literate to the extent required to perform job functions

  • May be required to work overtime, and 3rd shift operations.

  • Must obtain necessary certifications required for all job tasks

  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
