  • You will plan, lead, and manage QA engineering teams and product release activities.

  • You will take an active role in leading a cross functional team, within organization, focused on driving execution from definition through successful release and transfer to other teams.

  • You will be working in a very fast paced environment, with the opportunity to work collaboratively with professionals in the Product management, product development, field engineering, Technology Partners and Global Services/Support functions, and to positively influence greater business outcomes.

What you’ll do

  • Provide a leadership role to the core product engineering team of QA professionals, to drive all pertinent issues related to the product development life cycle.

  • Manage, Motivate and Mentor the development team to deliver high quality products

  • Identify, plan and communicate project scope, tasks, risks and ensure release milestones and objectives are met.

  • Keep stack holders development, Architecture and Product Management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected results.

  • Analyze problems and drive long term technology solutions to evolve the product scalability, performance and supportability

  • Ensure that projects adhere to the engineering processes and initiate process improvements as needed to improve the quality and productivity

  • Participate in planning and managing product releases or project components from requirements discovery through release phases ensuring high quality

  • Foster and sustain agile testing culture towards faster releases minimizing manual QA

  • Create a culture of learning, encourage team to pick up technology, domain and process skills required in near and long term

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development with at least 3 years of experience in a management role is required.

  • Should have analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational and leadership skills are required.

  • Should have knowledge of product lifecycle, tools, processes and planning.

  • Hands on experience of managing QA function for an enterprise-class software product dealing with infrastructure or network or storage is MUST

  • Should have experience of transitioning a QA team from manual QA to agile QA and demonstrate deep understanding of how to succeed in such a journey

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and quality requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience inmanaging engineering teamsto deliver enterprise class software or SaaS platform

  • Should have understanding of engineering principles and practices withexperience in following Agile/Scrum methodology strongly desired.
