Verizon Strategy & Operations Manager - Chief of Staff in Basking Ridge, New Jersey

What you’ll be doing...

You will be a key resource in the coordination of all major strategic initiatives across the Global Content & Media business. Operating as the right hand to our VP of Content & Media Integration; you will ensure the fluid management of all of our integration efforts. Working in a highly matrixed environment with minimal direction will be the modus operandi for you in this role. A successful candidate will accelerate in this role if and only if they have a high attention to detail, and are able to manage cross-functional teams to progress the priorities of the business.

You will be expected to partner with multiple teams across each of the functional VP teams, in order to drive forward successful outcomes, minimize turnaround time and develop a personal means of storytelling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Special projects for senior executive communications

  • Management of workstream and content stage-gate reporting

  • Coordination of materials and logistics for all key governance meetings

  • Process enablement, tools, and templates to improve content management and reporting across all of our major initiatives

  • The ability to identify and resolve problems independently; reporting progress and outcomes in various functions and levels

  • Proactively coordinate with executive stakeholders to ensure consistency and clarity in communication; end-to-end

  • Make operational and strategic recommendations on GC&M-wide programs

  • Perform executive-level analyses, program assessment, and improvements, in order to present complex plans to leadership

While they operate with a high level of detail they are able to not lose sight of the bigger picture and vision of the organization. Finally, they enjoy working with adverse set of people from all backgrounds and functions; with a knack for developing relationships.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with four or more years of work experience

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business/business management related field

  • Strategy & operations experience at a leading consulting firm

  • Experience with presenting to all levels of management across the organization

  • Formulated and implemented strategies within well-defined time frames

  • Strong storytelling skills and a commitment to excellence

  • Presentation, communication, and leadership skills
