Job Summary

AECOM Tishman

Location: Boston

Responsible for managing SH&E programs within the Boston/ New England region of the vertical Building Construction business line. Experience in hi-rise, commercial, mixed use, schools, hotels, etc. This position will have the responsibility for overseeing multiple projects within the region, to include working with and directing those responsible for safety functions on smaller sites, and Site Safety Managers on larger sites. Regular reporting SH&E statistics, responding to client SH&E requests, working with other SH&E professionals in updating SH&E standard operating procedures, working with the Building Construction Chief Safety Officer, safety/ security, and providing follow-up assistance related to incident investigations and corrective action follow-up. May be responsible for managing SH&E Managers and working with Operations throughout the region and with the Shared Services SH&E Regional Manager with respect to implementation of AECOM SH&E programs throughout the region. Has extensive knowledge of Federal and state health and safety regulations, as well as required reporting procedures. As a senior SH&E manager, works with management within the business line and SH&E Shared Services group and establishes operational objectives and work plans, delegates assignment to subordinate managers. Reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Develops, modifies, executes company SH&E policies and procedures that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effect. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation of criteria for obtaining results. May be responsible for managing staff function and may not have subordinate managers.

Programs include OSHA and AECOM required training, input to health and safety plans, use of subcontractors, incident investigations and follow-up and others.


Minimum Requirements

BS degree in relevant field to include Engineering, Construction Management or Business.

8-10 years of solid safety management experience in the construction industry

OSHA 300

OSHA 500

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer third-party safety-related credentials (CSP, CHST, STS, etc) or ability to earn these

Experience in the vertical construction market (At-risk construction highly preferred)
