Armstrong Flooring, Inc. (AFI) has a job opportunity for a Retail Strategic Account Sales Manager to be located in Boston MA. The Retail Strategic Account Sales Manager will be responsible for covering key account relationships- elite dealers and retail contractors in the Boston region as well as defining strategy, maximizing sales penetration, obtaining optimum market share and the greatest profit potential with assigned retail strategic accounts. Additionally, the Retail Strategic Account Sales Manager will take the lead in selling solutions that ensure the greatest exposure for all of the company's commercial and residential flooring product lines.
Key Responsibilities of the Retail Strategic Account Sales Manager:
Gaining access to key decision makers and cultivating effective strategic relationships
Gathering and analyzing customer information to understand growth opportunities, accurately diagnosing each account's business issues, and developing customized account plans for each retailer
Orchestrating resources in supplying and collaborating on mutually defined retail solutions
Negotiating and implementing consultative product and merchandising programs that further penetrate assigned accounts at optimal profit margins
Conducting ongoing business reviews and planning meetings with each retailer
Providing milestones to internal and external customers in order to facilitate the process of communication and knowledge management
Continually evaluating current and future sales probabilities, market trends, pricing, competition and new opportunities within each product category
Collecting and reporting accurate and timely information as requested
Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of Armstrong Flooring products, distribution and the retail flooring industry
Preparing business reports and managing expense account within budget
Required Qualifications for Retail Strategic Account Sales Manager:
5-7 years previous sales experience
A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferred
A strong track record of achievement; Experience as a top performer with outstanding result
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
The ability to learn quickly
Results driven attitude
High energy level
Desire to sell a great brand and great products within an appropriate spectrum of price range
Consultative selling, strong communication, influencing, negotiating, analytical, time/project management skills are essential
Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.
Valid US driver's license
