This Trade Product Sales Specialist (Trade PSS) will be instrumental in growing our core Global Transaction Services working capital solutions set involving Trade & Supply Chain Finance. In close coordination with the TSOs, the Trade PSS plays a critical role by providing subject matter expertise in training/product awareness, client planning, and sales activities, with a specific focus on the larger, more complex opportunities involving Trade & Supply Chain Finance.
This Trade PSS will support driving sales from Prospect through Mandate and implementation: Play a leading, consultative sales role in crafting and articulating the value proposition for Trade & Supply Chain Finance solutions to client problems or opportunities for improvement along the working capital continuum. Key Trade PSS responsibilities include:
Play a prominent role in client planning sessionsby leveraging working capital metric peer comparisons, spend file analysis and best practice recommendations for customizing complex client pitches, and best and final proposals.
A leading role in determining competitive pricing proposalsrelated to significant opportunities with optimal returns. Foster strong communication across the client team to identify and pursue supporting cross sell opportunities.
Winning deals: developing and helping to present compelling client pitches, differentiating BAML to win in the marketplace by leveraging PSS expertise and knowledge of best practices among industry leading importers and exporters, and our focus on working capital optimization, process improvement and risk mitigation.
Focus on responsible growth: The PSS will ensure that deals are appropriately structured, with standardized process whenever possible, escalating exceptions for further discussion.
Insure effective hand-off of complex opportunities to our Implementation & Fulfillment team, clearly and thoroughly incorporating each clients needs and expectations accordingly.
Provide competitive market feedbackto the Product teams
As an integral part of the Deal Team, ensure that optimal revenue, and risk/revenue balance is realized with each deal won and implemented to aggressively drive profitable Trade & Supply Chain Finance revenue growth across the market.
3+ years of Trade and Supply Chain product and/or sales experience
Proven working knowledge of the cash conversion cycle, Supply Chain Finance and other working capital improvement solutions, including the methods of payment used in intl trade and trade finance solutions
Strong, foundational credit and structuring skills
Exceptional consultative selling skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively present capabilities/product placements in both written (proposals) and oral presentations at both the working and c-levels of our key clients
The ability to internally influence and drive urgency/actions internally across functions
Strong Powerpoint and analytical (Excel) skills
A strong work ethic, and the ability/willingness to take on broader responsibilities longer-term
Advanced credit and structuring skills
5+ years of Trade and Supply Chain product and/or sales experience
