Job Summary

AECOM is looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our Credit Control team, supporting the business with the collection of invoices already billed. This role is responsible for driving cash as well as the operational collections process using the AECOM Billings and Collections System (ABC).

Leading a team of experienced Credit Controllers, you will be responsible for the ANZ credit control process and management of the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), including the ongoing development of best in class credit management procedures. You will also be responsible for cash applications and the daily relationship management of our offshore processing team in India, ensuring that a high level of data integrity is maintained.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Daily line management and team support;

• Assisting with the target setting process;

• Forecasting collections using Promise to Pay information sourced from collectors;

• Highlighting risk of payment defaults using Dun & Bradstreet reports;

• Assisting in the collection of debts on a timely basis to minimise the risk of debt becoming uncollectable;

• Establishing working relationships with client contacts within AP teams;

• Building / maintaining relationships with Project Managers across the region ;

• Maintaining comments and status codes for assigned debt portfolio.

Minimum Requirements

· 5+ years’ demonstrated experience working in a credit control function;

· Previous experience leading a team, including target setting and performance appraisals – essential;

· Experience working within a dynamic, high pressure environment, preferably a consulting environment.

You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be able to communicate at all levels. Your ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise deadlines, particularly during high pressurised monthly deadline periods, will be the keys to your success in the role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High level proficiency in Excel (including v-look ups, pivot tables and volume data manipulation);

  • Prior experience in Oracle is highly advantageous.
