Eaton Corporation Material Planner/Order Processing Specialist in Budapest, Hungary
The main function of the Material Planner is the planning and managing of finished goods within the distribution channel of (Eaton Electrical Division EMEA) with the aim of a high availability, taking into account economic considerations.
The duties of the Material Planner is to monitor, supervise and coordinate the procurement, delivery needs as well as the management of stock parameters according to replenishment strategy and material planning specific item master data dedicated to her/his suppliers and items.
Secondary duties are also support manage internal invoices of sales orders for which Brno Distribution Centre acts as supplier.
Make sure purchase orders / stock transfer orders of MTO/MTS items are correctly and timely processed and goods delivered in time
Make sure stock fill rates for MTS materials are maintained on appropriate level
Make sure MTO materials stored in customer stock are maintained on appropriate level and
not exceeding inventory value above target (cooperating with Order Management dpt.)
Constant monitoring and adjusting the planning parameters to the current situation with regards to assigned goals and KPI
Effective management, evaluation and continuous development of MTS/MTO supply
Take measures to prevent / reduce material shortages
Checks undelivered order items (works with relevant Order Management report)
Creates returns, requisitions for delivery notes and credit notes
Performs other tasks according to company requirements and instruction of direct or functional Manager
The position requires analytical and strategic thinking skills. Material Planner should demonstrate and understanding of both operational needs and corporate objectives. A balance must be achieved at both levels to meet customer requirements and to gain the support needed to move forward. The ability to quickly analyse operational inefficiencies and separate performance issues from subjective innuendo is essential. Base understanding of Material Planning core strategies such as ROP, Kanban or FC driven replenishment, trade management requirements.
preferred a professional education in industrial business management or similar to this
MRP / ERP experience (SAP user experience highly preferred)
Knowledge in materials planning
Microsoft Office 2010 skills
High team spirit
German language is a plus
High level of motivation
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
