ABOUT THE JOB:

The Senior Client Strategy & Insights Analyst is responsible for providing insights and analytical depth to drive business measurement and opportunity identification in support of strategic management and the development of new value propositions for Business Banking Segment. Regularly synthesize complex data into actionable insights that inform decision making. Works cross-functionally and cross-organizationally to ensure quality and consistency. As a key contributor on the team, this individual will also assist other Managers with planning, developing and implementing enhancements that add-value to our clients and to Key’s strategic objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Contribute towards KeyBank Business Banking strategic planning process based on fact based analysis

  • Guide / execute analysis of our markets, competitors, and customers using internal and external resources

  • Drive Strategy initiatives around growth, investments, capital and expense optimization

  • Conduct organic growth initiative development and prioritization, and portfolio assessment

  • Identify opportunities and issues of strategic importance to KeyBank Business Banking

  • Develop recommendations to advise senior management on high-priority initiatives, including growth strategy, product and segment strategies, and cross business initiatives

  • Lead initiatives for strategic alignment with other segments and partners across KeyBank

  • Manage profitability drivers of products to ensure they meet profitability hurdles

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and prioritize delivery based on key objectives.

  • Prepare business reviews to highlight findings and recommendations to senior management.

  • Researches and analyses data and other related information, both internally and externally, to identify trends, performance, competitive environment and opportunities to support business decisions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or another quantitative discipline. A top-tier relevant graduate degree is a plus.

  • 5-10 years experience in the banking industry or a major consulting firm including extensive experience in strategy development and execution

  • Strong problem structuring and analytic capabilities; ability to take a complex problem and organize it in discrete pieces for solution

  • In-depth understanding of the business and financial drivers for Business Banking is a plus

  • Understanding of Retail network and delivery systems, including branch distribution is a plus

  • Ability to work with a team of knowledge professionals and partners

  • Ability to size and prioritize large-scale analytical initiatives across businesses

  • Ability to work effectively with senior and middle level managers and with large interdisciplinary teams

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, active-listening); ability to structure and deliver clearly articulate presentations
