Kaiser Permanente Manger Finance Health Plan Service and Administration in Burbank, California

The Finance Manager will develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. The position will perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance and monitor the operational performance of the shared service functions. The Finance Manager will also gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, performance, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.

Provide business decision support, operational analysis and financial reporting to key HPSA Shared Service executives. Collaborate with the Health Plan Service and Administration (HPSA) finance teams, HPSA Executive Director of Finance, and other organizational leaders to provide accurate forecasts, appropriate operational and capital budget submissions, long range financial plans and ongoing operational metrics. Provide routine mechanisms for reporting financial results in collaboration with HPSA Finance team and Program Office Financial units to serve the Program Initiative and the Organization as a whole. Provide financial analysis to incorporate technology related costs as well as business related capital and operating costs of the program. Lead the effort to update the major project business case in cooperation with organizational operational and financial partners.

Essential Functions: - Works on issues of diverse scope. - Receives assignments as objectives and determines how to use resources to meet these goals and schedules. - Requires significant planning and direction setting to coordinate with other divisions or resources. - Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect the immediate function. - Monitors projects to ensure completion on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum two (2) years of management experience. - Minimum five (5) years of related experience. Education - Bachelor's degree in related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Preferred Qualifications: - Strong Excel modeling and analysis skills. - Experience with Tableau and or Cognos TM1. - Experience with Manager budget responsibilities. - Managerial responsibility for two or more departments or functions, through subordinates. - Experience with healthcare finance. - Experience with large scale projects.
