Thermo Fisher Scientific System Programmer Analyst in Carlsbad, California
Responsible for SharePoint support, governance, information architecture and server topology for both on-premise and cloud deployments
Configure and develop web forms, lists, libraries, workflows, content management sites, team sites, FAST search and security.
Employ agile techniques to iteratively deploy solutions and deliver functionality.
Custom web application development using MVC Framework
Collaborate with global business users and IT to maintain and support SharePoint web applications.
Administer SharePoint farm and perform maintenance of SharePoint patches and cumulative updates.
Provide technical expertise in Delegated Authentication and SAML based SSO web services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or related field of study plus 8 years of systems engineering, programming, software development or related experience. Employer also accepts a Master’s degree plus 5 years of experience as an equivalent alternative.
Must have experience or knowledge of:
Medium to large SharePoint server farms;
Deployment and maintenance of applications and services in Microsoft Azure
Latest versions of SharePoint (2007, 2010, and 2013);
SharePoint sequential and state machine workflows, WCF and custom web parts;
Development using ASP.NET, C#.NET, .NET framework and SharePoint object model;
MVC application maintenance and development;
Production Support working with business users;
Configuring a SharePoint-based intranet platform;
VMWare virtualization technologies, XML, XSLT, and InfoPath; and
Development experience in Delegated Authentication and SAML to implement and maintain SSO for all web-based applications.
