Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides guidance to web team management for current and proposed investments existing and prospective intellectual property and/or technical infrastructure. Conducts design studies in pursuit of new program opportunities. Constructs the overall system architecture of technical solution, to include external and internal interface analysis, internal interface definition, and functional requirement allocations across multiple enterprise web applications. Will work with a multidisciplinary team of web developers, business analysts, project managers, and designers responsible for the research and development of technical solutions and architectures in support of program objectives. Will integrate multiple applications across a single customer portfolio or across the enterprise to target strategic initiatives and integrate like business processes.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Recommends strategic technical direction and architectural strategy. Performs disciplined systems architectures analysis as it relates to web application technical solutions. Establishes system architectural design and functional requirements for web application technical solutions, to include external and internal interface analysis, definition and requirement allocation. Coordinates with the Information System Security Engineer for Authorization and Accreditation of systems. Responsible for development of secure reliable and scalable solutions to engineering problems. Subject matter expert understanding of cutting edge technologies and innovative equipment; key technical contributor in design, prototype, development, analysis, and execution of web application technical solutions in support of customer architectural and engineering requirements, proficient in the evaluation and analysis of current and future technologies. Identifies discrepancies between the enterprise technical architecture and systems designs proposed by project teams, and assists project teams in resolving the discrepancies. Builds and uses analysis models and techniques to support the evaluation of current and proposed future architectures. Identifies and assesses architectural and technological risks with the potential to impact customer or program plans; develops associated risk mitigations. Defines IT architecture issues and allocates requirements. Identifies hardware and software architectural needs and solutions. Establishes project development approach to achieve reliable results. Researches current and future technological trends, developments and applications. Acts as an advisor to web developers and proposes changes to the technical architecture based on analysis of requirements and new technology. Works closely with users to provide guidance in the identification and resolution of user problems and concerns. Analyzes and resolves failures in test and operation based upon deep knowledge of system operation and architecture. Adheres to configuration management and documentation practices. Expert in cloud infrastructure, PKI, Enterprise audit, ABAC. Experience with AWS or other cloud computing is a must.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 12-15 years of related experience.

  • A minimum of an Active Top Secret clearance is required, a TS/SCI with Ci Polygraph is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
