CACI International Logistics Technician, Lead in Chantilly, Virginia

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under very general direction, performs a variety of tasks associated with managing the flow of shipments both inbound and outbound in the manner that is most cost effective.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

-Must have an active secret clearance

-Must be able to lead a small team

-Must be able to update supply chain inventory database

-Must be able to coordinate multiple shipments from multiple warehouses to multiple sites within the Ready to Ship time.

-Must be able to pack and crate in the most cost effective way.

-Must be able to conduct monthly cyclic inventories

-Must have experience in all areas of Warehousing

-Receiving -Shipping -Storage -Material Handling -Asset Management -Packing and crating

-Must be able to work independently

-Must be able to work directly with the customer and senior leadership


Desired Qualifications:

-Experience with Department of State Logistics

-Familiarity with IT communications and satellite equipment.

-SOLE certifications

-NPMA certifications

-Forklift experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent, and five to six years of related experience. Must be able to operate wide variety of material handling equipments (MHE).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
