Job Description:

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our DHS Secure Enterprise Network Systems, Services & Support (SENS3) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI will provide a variety of IT services through SENS3 including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services.

Functional Responsibility:

Individual will serve as a focal point for all telephone control officers. Candidate will provide the engineering and maintenance of the secure/non-secure voice, video, data equipment that is used with Presidential Appointees within DHS’s travel team. Applicant will perform a variety of complex software and/or hardware engineering activities of an analysis, design, or test nature. Participates on project teams and provides guidance to less experienced engineers and technical staff. Plans, conducts, and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification. Engineering activities support the technology exchange and collaboration of Voice over IP audio connections to several different networks. Support Account Executives with customer need analysis/site surveys and participate in project meetings with clients, architect and other stakeholders. Generate preliminary system design and create bill of materials, labor estimates and scope of work narrative for proposals. Generate and manage project documentation, including: drawings, cut sheets, manuals. Create system configuration, programming files and as-built documentation for all voice audio bridge connections on all networks. Act as subject matter expert for after-project support. Individual shall operate, maintain, monitor, install and troubleshoot telephony devices and services at all locations designated by the customer. Provide O&M, network engineering and customer support for the mobile communications equipment and networks that support the VIPs and their staff members during travel. Will be responsible to provide O&M and initial installation support for computer systems, communications and any other supporting equipment that fall under the CsFC program. Will provide detailed input into the selection of hardware and software and the identification of implementation techniques/tools that provide efficient solutions for meeting current and future business needs. Communications and networks that shall be supported include, but are not limited to, remote communications equipment, mobile and deployable network communication systems, strategic and tactical multi-channel satellite communication systems (including KU/GAN/BGAN terminals), secure telephone equipment, video conferencing terminals, laptops, desktops, computer peripherals and other equipment in the support of executive communications capabilities.

Specific RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and equipment of Network and Audio equipment selection.

  • Performs moderately complex engineering assignments of an analysis, design or test nature requiring application of specific standard techniques and procedures.

  • Acquire, configure and maintain mobile voice, data, and video systems

  • Provide on-call 24 x 7 x 365 Service Desk support

  • Provide remote & on-site operations and management

  • Maintain all warranties and vendor support contracts

  • Executive Level Support

  • Remote Assistance and Virtual workstation environment

  • Maintain all warranties and vendor support contracts

  • Ensure secure broadband remote operability.

  • Test Travel kits to ensure security compliance

  • Develop documentation required to update authorizations to operate

  • Review SOPs and concepts of operations (CONOPs) relating to the Executive Telecommunication Services office

  • WI-FI and 4G technology configurations

  • VPN tunnel monitoring and creation

  • Ensure kits are ready for deployment.

  • Ensure connectivity to external service providers. Provide voice and video engineering, operation and maintenance support

  • Provide voice and video engineering, operation and maintenance support

  • Provide technical expertise to resolve network and other operational events and trouble tickets

  • Provide administrative support of installed systems/networks; assigning and controlling addresses, revising system configurations.

  • Take actions necessary to operate and maintain (O&M) telephony services and devices associated with TDM telephone systems

  • Other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current TS/SCI Clearance

  • DHS EOD Eligible (Active EOD preferred)

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.

  • Experience with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) .

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Effective and efficient Time management of self and team duties

  • Able to plan and prioritize team workload to ensure objectives are achieved on time.

  • Responsible, reliable and flexible

  • Passion for learning and knowledge transfer

  • Knowledge of VOIP and VTC quality services

  • Working knowledge of voice conferencing services (bridges, meter place, etc.)
