Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Install, upgrade, test, operate and maintain Windows-based workstations and servers in a .NET web environment, including all web servers, database servers, mail servers and SharePoint servers in development, staging and production arenas. Systems include Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7, SQL 2005/2008/2012.

  • Design, operate and maintain multiple SharePoint farms in development, staging and production environments.

  • Experience with the following SharePoint versions: MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013.

  • Manage SharePoint farms using STSADM and PowerShell.

  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the relationship between SSPs, Site Collections, Content DBs, Applications, and Sites.

  • Monitors and manages SharePoint content databases to ensure; proper operation, growth management, site load balancing, etc.

  • Supports SharePoint Help Desk by troubleshooting and resolving Farm administration level problems.

  • Serve as a 3rd-tier support resource to our internal Operation Team for the customer relative to our web products, working as liaison between customers and developers.

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all SharePoint systems, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as database backups.

  • Manage SQL Server databases supporting SharePoint systems to include backups and other routine SQL maintenance activities.

  • Establish and maintain user accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies.

  • Serve as a 3rd-tier support resource to our internal Operation Team for the customer relative to our web products, working as liaison between customers and developers.

  • Maintain inventory for both hardware and software

  • Design and engineer future needs including web products and relevant operating system needs.

  • Review performance logs and monitors system performance.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves basic level system hardware, software and communications problems; may perform configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity; performs automated and manual backup and restore processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.
