CACI International Site Support Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia

Job Description:

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our DHS Secure Enterprise Network Systems, Services & Support (SENS3) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI will provide a variety of IT services through SENS3 including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services. This position is contingent upon award of the SENS3 Program.

Functional Responsibility:


  • Maintain the client workstation deployment process

  • Develop, Implement and maintain an enterprise deployment and software application packaging infrastructure; enabling the ability to deploy applications with tools like SCCM, Altiris, or equivalent technology in mere minutes, not days.

  • Test and integration experience in new desktop and laptop hardware.

  • Exploring new opportunities that add to the business value proposition or reduce costs.

  • Troubleshoot complex third level technical support incidents in compliance with service levels.

  • Good understanding on urgency, priorities and deliverables with tight deadlines

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and communicate with other teams as soon as possible

  • Presents materials and presentations relating to software packages to end users and management.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Updating and maintaining inventory of various types of equipment

  • Provide site support services

  • Review trouble tickets, conduct root case analysis, and resolve incidents

  • Update trouble tickets, and notify users of incidents/status changes

  • Escalate trouble tickets, if not resolved with agreed upon time frames

  • Provide LAN/WAN cabling support

  • Provide computer and printer support

  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised

  • Demonstrated team player

  • Support infrastructure installation

  • Inventory, hand receipts, equipment accountability


  • Current TS/SCI Clearance

  • DHS EOD Eligible (Active EOD preferred)

  • Security + and Network + certifications

  • Windows Operating System (desktop) deployments and automated build processes, including performance tuning.

  • Supporting image deployment processes in multi-segmented, routed, and firewalled enterprise network.

  • Multi-site software deployments and re-imaging.

  • Microsoft patching strategy for desktops.

  • Downloading and deploying Microsoft patches using Windows Server Update Service (WSUS) within SCCM.

  • SCCM 2012/2016 design, deployment, configuration, support, and hierarchy, including setup and troubleshooting is a plus

  • Experience with endpoint encryption software, such as Bitlocker and Symantec

  • Knowledge of Desktop and Application Virtualization technologies such as VMWare View Workstation, Citrix Provisioning Server and VMware ThinApp or other similar tools and technologies are a BIG PLUS

Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and eight years of related experience
