Chenega Corporation is seeking aSenior Proposal Coordinatorto support the SSBU Business Development Team in proposal development.We are looking for an experiencedsenior proposal coordinatorto support our rapidly growing security sectors. TheSenior Proposal Coordinatoris responsible for general administrative duties in supporting the Business Development Team. This position is located at the Chenega Corporation SSBU office in Chantilly, VA.

TheSenior Proposal Coordinatorwill partner with a Vice President and a team of professionals (to the executive level) to execute business development and capture strategies supporting business growth while fostering effectiveness across programs and people. You will assist with proposal efforts supporting major programs that are valued at over $400M and which are staffed with over 1600 security professionals.

A successful candidate must be well-rounded in proposal development having worked individual proposals at the $30M level. The position requires experience in driving success by leading teams, collaborating with peers and effectively communicating at the highest levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

· Supports Proposal Managers in the planning, preparation, and development of high-quality, winning responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI)

· Supports the Proposal Manager in RFP analysis to determine proposal requirements and supports the development of a response outline and compliance matrix

· Develops proposal schedules, templates, and formatting and maintains electronic and hard copy proposal drafts

· Provides proposal editing

· Manages proposal schedule for the team and coordinates proposal activities to ensure timely, efficient, and complaint proposal development

· Supports the development of pre-proposal planning to include scheduling, briefings, and resource planning

· Coordinates graphic development with graphic artists and proposal writers

· Coordinates production with Proposal Manager and production team in support of color team reviews and final production and delivery

· Supports the development of Past Performance data in support of RFP and RFI responses

· Manages proposal and graphic files in SharePoint and ensures the security and safekeeping of proprietary material within our proposal database

· Works collaboratively with a wide range of personnel, including proposal volume leads, technical and business subject matter experts, writers, graphic artists, production staff, and executives to facilitate efficient and effective proposal development

· Supports the Vice President of Business Development in the management and implementation of established proposal processes

· Supports the Vice President of Business Development in the continuous interfacing and coordination with Business Development principals and executives in coordinating proposal planning and support

· Ability to support a flex schedule with proposal team which requires occasional evening and weekend work

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• May be required to independently lead teams and ad-hoc proposal work groups including

consultants

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

· 5 or more years’ experience working proposals for the federal government; DoD/DOE/DoS

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related business discipline; or an Associates with 4 years’ experience

· Experience supporting multiple individual federal government proposals for contracts valued over $25M

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to understand, communicate, and ensure compliance with RFP requirements

· Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; prioritize and plan work activities; uses time efficiently; and support the management of multiple projects within a deadline-oriented environment

· Prior experience with Deltek Capture Management CRM, or similar CRM systems, GovWin IQ, FBO.gov, and GSA eBuy

· Proficiency in all aspects of the capture and proposal process

· Ability to work independently, while a member of a larger team, and meet strict deadlines

· Demonstrated sound judgement even with difficult deadlines or ambiguous circumstances

· Ability to translate thoughts to action through concise, effective written and oral communications

· Ability to write and edit narratives,

· Ability to set priorities, manage deadlines and respond to shifting priorities

· This position may work nights and weekends and is not eligible for regularly scheduled telecommuting
