Job Description:

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our DHS Secure Enterprise Network Systems, Services & Support (SENS3) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI will provide a variety of IT services through SENS3 including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services.

Functional Responsibility:

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates for backend infrastructure to include Windows, Linux, SharePoint, SAN, Virtualization (VMWare), Unified Communications and all other Enterprise IT Server/equipment core equipment. Applicant shall perform Engineering support to provide Operating Systems, Active Directory, Virtualization, SAN, and all Core Enterprise IT engineering and management support of classified networks. Selected candidate will be responsible for engineering and technical expertise on all enterprise network equipment and engineer and manage the Tier III equipment. Additionally, the selected candidate will interface with Components and other government agencies to coordinate engineering; address interoperability issues and requirements; plan, coordinate, and manage equipment from SAN storage, Windows and Linux OS’s, Virtualized environment (VMware and Hyper-V). Individual will also coordinate and provide network troubleshooting to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex problems affecting network performance and develop and maintain network SOPs to be provided to the Operations team.


  • Provide remote operations and management of servers

  • Perform onsite maintenance

  • Create & monitor all VMs for operational status and utilization

  • Provision and/or decommission servers and virtual machines to meet capacity and utilization needs

  • Perform setup of Automation & Orchestration in a virtualized environment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, configuration and operational problems across the VMware and guest OS platforms

  • Integrate management tools into a single, common tool stack with Microsoft System Center (SC) Suite.

  • Provide integrated email and calendars

  • Provide instant messaging (IM) and presence information

  • Perform integration of management tools into a single, common tool stack with Microsoft System Center (SC) Suite

  • Provide collaboration services

  • Develop SharePoint pages and create custom customer updates to the webpages.

  • Provide unified (integrated) messaging across varying types of messaging methods

  • Install and maintain UC hardware and software on servers

  • Ensure systems conform to UC industry and IC standards to permit interoperability of services across organizations

  • Test changes to infrastructure services and components prior to system deployment

  • Facilitate simulation or replication conditions on operational network

  • Provide Network Services Diagrams to show network service changes and input to monthly status and performance report

  • Help maintain configuration baseline for Infrastructure Assessment and Test Environment

  • Provide release package for packages developed in Test Environment

  • Provide operation and maintenance support

  • Provide engineering support

  • Ensure connectivity to external service providers

  • Provide technical expertise to resolve network and other operational events and trouble tickets

  • Provide administrative support of installed systems/networks; assigning and controlling addresses, revising system configurations.

  • Assist in network planning for contingencies, exercises, and current operations.

  • Recommend tools and processes to accomplish enterprise management tasks.

  • Review and validate network plans and network changes.

  • Provide Level III engineering assistance for immediate and emergency troubleshooting / problem resolution.

  • Ability to run reports and track back-end infrastructure and licenses.

  • Other duties as required.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Secret Clearance

  • SCI eligibility

  • DHS EOD Eligible (Active EOD preferred)

  • Experience with operation and maintenance of voice services in a diverse environment

  • Extensive Microsoft Systems Administration experience in a engineering and administration environment

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Certifications (MCSE, MCSA, MCITP)

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of professional IT experience preferably in a federal environment and or experience in lieu of degree.
