CACI International VMware/Infrastructure Administrator in Chantilly, Virginia
The Distributed Learning Program provides cradle to grave support for more than 365 National Guard Classroom locations across the US States and Territories to include system design, procurement, integration, onsite installation, remote and onsite troubleshooting and periodic system upgrades.
The role is required to provide desktop support to the computer and server support environments. Tasks performed by the systems administrator include performing weekly system scans, security monitoring and updating and patching for IA compliance. Additionally, the systems administrator will provide first line Help Desk technical support and handle remote server, VMware and desktop support for the Army National Guard’s Distributed Learning Program (DLP). This position will also entail integrating and configuration of HP servers, Dell workstations, VMware, Windows operating Systems and printers. Working knowledge of CISCO routers and switches are a plus. The candidate will work closely with a team of System Engineers, the Enterprise Network Operations Center, Program and State Information Assurance teams and various other groups within the program. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced fielding and engineering environment. Must be self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks as needed.
Primary job duties to include:
Provide IA support to a working lab environment - Making sure patches and operating systems are current, running security scans to make sure there are no vulnerabilities for both local and remote user sites. Also supports system accreditation activities. This is in support of 392 classrooms located throughout the 54 States and Territories. Travel may be required to provide support.
Conduct weekly scanning and patching of workstations and servers
Help Desk duties to include support/troubleshooting trouble tickets via phone or VTC. These are Tier 2/3 and above, involving issues around network connectivity, configuring IP addresses on servers/routers.
VMware software support

Documentation writing - Creating new documents such as user manuals, installation guides, and image processing documentation.
VMWare desktop configuration and support
Thin Client operations
Server configuration and administration
Help Desk experience
Server, desktop, VMware and Windows OS support: 4 years +
Active Secret clearance (required)
