Bank of America Audit Manager - CFO Attestation in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

Responsibilities include testing of financial, operational and other processes of the Company’s annual Chief Financial Officer attestation related to the company’s capital adequacy process.

Specific responsibilities include learning new businesses, processes and regulations thoroughly and quickly; communicating effectively with auditees, other Audit team members, and key stakeholders elsewhere in the organization; identifying and participating in relevant training regarding audit, applicable regulations, financial reporting controls, data quality and lineage, and other areas identified as relevant; working on complex projects that may involve significant learning (regulatory regime and related requirements/instructions, business model, processes and controls, etc.); quickly assimilating new information in order to analyze risks and effectively test controls; and navigating a large complex organization. Must also be able to analyze past audits, identify challenges, and assist in structuring solutions. Flexible and adaptive problem solving skills are key due to the breadth of operational and technological infrastructures within the Company. Also must appropriately analyze control environment and develop effective audit steps to test controls and data where necessary in line with methodology. Requires both good verbal and written communications skills and discretion in using sensitive information in an appropriate fashion. Must be able to identify and escalate potential audit issues to the Senior Audit Manager/Director as soon as they are identified. Expected to at times work independently.

Required Job Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree Required and 6-8 years of experience

  • Be able to review and understand regulatory instructions and related compliance

  • Ability to identify opportunities and leverage technology specialist skills

Desired Job Skills:

  • 4 year degree in accounting or Finance (other subjects may be applicable including experience in Auditing or relevant specialty area)

  • Capital Adequacy, Data Lineage and CCAR knowledge is a plus

  • Ability to query data via SQL code from various platforms and perform analysis of that data.
