Enterprise Role Overview:

Participates in design, development and implementation of complex databases, often using new technologies. Viewed as the subject matter expert for the team. Manages multiple, moderately complex projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants or managers. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems. Computer Science degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of IT experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Significant in-depth knowledge in Exadata, Oracle RAC, Performance tuning, UNIX Scripting

  • Must have knowledge in Wholesale Banking Treasury data

  • Prior work experience interacting with Information Architecture Team of both Architects and Data Modelers to understand upcoming changes, Impacts and challenges in each subject area

  • Prior work experience reviewing Data models by Subject Areas and Release and make recommendations for better performance

  • Be able to make sure Data models are viable and optimal by Reviewing Data flows etc.

  • Must be able to manage physical data model and Implementation details for Oracle 11g/12c

  • Prior experience coming-up with Strategies for better performance including partition, index, purge/archive strategies

  • Prior experience managing Physical Schemas all subject areas (Reference Data, Liquidity, Deposits, Payments, Trade Finance etc.)

  • Prior experience managing scripts to manage 1500+ DB Objects and their access by different user groups. Number of objects to be managed is expected to double in next 3-4 months

  • Prior experience reviewing review process flows, identifying bottle-necks and recommend changes for better performance

  • Prior experience reviewing existing Mappings, processes, extract/reports, SQLs and make recommendations

  • Must have work history of developing semi-automated processes to capture data model changes from IA team and version control them into Physical Oracle scripts in SVN repository

  • Must be able to ensure orderly progression of release related changes of DB Objects into numerous DEV, CIT, SIT, LT environments and PROD

  • Must be able to co-ordinate, manage and orchestrate monthly deployment of DB Changes for smooth transition and re-factoring of existing data to comply with newer data model/schema

  • Must be able to analyze current PROD Challenges, identify re-engineering opportunities work with IA Team to implement necessary changes in Data Models.

  • Must have prior working experience interacting with a DBA Team to support Oracle Instances and address SQL, Process and Extract/Report performance issues from time-to-time.

  • Preferred: prior experience mentoring junior developers to write/implement better SQLs

  • Preferred: prior experience mentoring junior Dev DBAs to manage Oracle Schemas
