Job Description and Responsibilities / Additional Information:

The Universal Bureau and Vendor Platform (UBVP) Business Analyst is responsible for providing the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to a strategic solution for integrating shared external data sources across Consumer Underwriting and Fraud Marketing/Prescreen/Origination/Account Management/Collections processes. External data sources include 3 consumer bureaus and 3 business bureaus plus additional new datasources in 2017.

  • Partner with Technology architectural and delivery resources to develop strategic solutions.

  • Responsible for managing the bureau environments from an “end user” perspective in partnership with UDP Tech

  • Responsible to learn and speak to UBVP development and lower level environments

  • Responsible to develop detailed knowledge of consumer and business credit bureau data sources as a real-time interface and act as a subject matter expert

  • To partner with our Technology partners to deliver error-free interface and data delivery capabilities to our calling systems

  • Responsible to provide Production Support on a rotating basis for the using clients (calling systems) of UBVP

  • Responsible for providing oversight and performing End-User configuration design/building/testing/maintenance to support UBVP

  • Responsible to design/perform functional and regression testing for UBVP software

  • Responsible to learn and understand the internal software created and used by the team to support UBVP in lower level environments as well as in Production

  • Responsible to learn JasperSoft Report writing capabilities to develop internally created pdf reports of data from the bureaus and other external data sources

  • Responsible for the drafting of high level and low level design documents with respect to UBVP tasks.

  • Provide cost and time estimates for UBVP design, development, unit, integration testing and implementation.

  • Responsible for working across multiple processes, lines of business and initiatives being executed.

  • To manage risk by recognizing and proactively identifying and controlling risks

Enterprise Role Overview:

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.

Required skills:

  • Familiarity with consumer credit bureau data and attribute generation.

  • Demonstrated ability to code/test software functionality

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production and test issues regarding software, environments, coding and data.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across individual lines of business gathering their needs, but can also define solutions that build towards an integrated solution across lines of business.

  • Able to connect technical solutions with overall UBVP strategic objectives.

  • Able to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of credit bureau data sources and technologies.

  • Able to weigh various suggested technical solutions against the original business needs and help select the solution that best meets the criteria and the advances the strategic objectives of UBVP.

  • Able to present and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.

Desired skills:

  • Demonstrated technical acumen and knowledge on consumer and small business credit bureau data sources and/or account origination processes.

  • Working knowledge of Bank of America Technology and Operations resources and routines.

  • Credit Bureau Report application (SEARCH, BureauLink, Transact, Attribute Toolbox, etc.)

  • Demonstrated Decision Engine, LUA, or Rules Engine experience

  • Consumer bureau attributes: Premier, FICO, STAGG, custom

  • Acumen and knowledge on other external data providers leveraged in the consumer and small business decision processes (e.g. EarlyWarning System, Finicity, Yodlee, The Work Number, Equifax Verification Services, 4506T)

  • Six Sigma Greenbelt, Blackbelt or DFSS certification
