Bank of America Data Product Analyst/Sr Fin Analyst-Rpt/Acct Policy in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

The CRR Sr. Fin Analyst Rpt/Acct Policy role is responsible for supporting all data analysis related to reporting requirement needs, research requests, eDIM ticket assessment/cross report impacts and developing functional specifications to support the reporting process. Analysts will participate in data related research and functional prototyping in order to confirm use cases related to reporting requirements. The Data & Product role will focus on translating reporting needs into functional requirements, working with technology partners to enable and testing the results back to the functional and reporting requirements. The analyst role supports data sourcing efforts, partnering with GFC sourcing teams as well as ADS provisioning points. The Data & Product analyst will perform research and assessments on eDIM and CRR research items, working to identify root cause, strategic solutions and cross reporting impacts.

The Data & Product analyst will support a product(s) and be responsible for maintaining relationships with CRR Product/Schedule SME’s and Report Owners as well as technology and ADS partners on a daily basis.

Additional Job Description

  • Performs data research to support CRR data sourcing efforts

  • Prototypes data derivations according to report requirements

  • Performs data testing activities in support of changes

  • PerformseDIM incident assessment to determine root cause

  • Analyzes incident cause to determine cross reporting impacts

  • Documents functional data requirements and research/eDIM assessments •Coordination point with ADS and ADS sourcing teams

Required Qualifications and experiences

  • 3 - 5 years Banking / Analytics experience - solid knowledge of banking products and data/technology landscape

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Finance

  • Understanding and familiarity of Regulatory reporting regulations

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Technical fluency, with ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Indirect leadership skills - ability to influence

  • Excellent communication sills (oral and written)

  • Must have SQL skills – 2-3 yrs of usage.

  • Competent with MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio

  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge (looks ups, pivots, etc)
