Bank of America Fixed Income P&L Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina
We provide daily, risk-based P&L to Corporate Investments Group (CIG), responsible for managing the Bank's interest rate risk and net interest income. This is done by producing a variety of reports spanning several investment programs and provision of accurate regulatory metrics. We interact real-time with the trading desk and business management to fulfill ad-hoc data requests, process hedges and ensure a controlled reporting environment.
As a member of the CIG Product Control team, the candidate will be responsible for T+0 and T+1 reporting of income and gains of the Group's primary portfolios, validating data inputs thereto, and facilitating the processing of varying FAS-133 hedges. The majority of our reports are produced daily, with additional analysis and reporting required around MBS settlement dates and the first ten calendar days of the month.
Daily reports are produced in the morning and in the evening, with project work and ad-hoc requests occupying the afternoon. The front office rely on these reports for timely, informed decision making.
We also review Comprehensive P&L and Aging metrics regularly, culminating in month-end routines designed to engage senior management in the Volcker cycle.
As needed, we process FAS-133 hedge positions, ensuring that hedge relationships are captured properly and effectiveness requirements are met. This activity provides exposure to basic statistical concepts and hedge accounting.
