Bank of America GWIM Loan Montoring Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina
Responsible for monitoring and managing credit quality and data integrity of assigned complex borrowing relationships. Ensures timely delivery of technically accurate spreads, loan monitoring activities and annual exposure reviews to facilitate a sound credit portfolio. Identifies opportunities to cross sell, up-sell and up-tier relationships. Prepares loan renewals and coordinates with the loan officer. Requires knowledge of current industry issues, trends, and analytical techniques. Must possess strong communication skills, advanced credit analysis and underwriting experience, including financial accounting theory, loan structuring and commercial lending. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or economics preferred as well as 5+ years of underwriting, credit analysis or equivalent. Provides direction to more junior associates.
Responsible for monitoring and managing the credit quality and data integrity of assigned GWIM credit relationships to facilitate a sound credit portfolio by utilizing various GMS and ad-hoc reports.
Responsibilities include tracking and review of credit documentation to ensure timely loan monitoring.
Responsible for the testing of loan covenants and the timely resolution of all failed covenants within their assigned portfolio.
Recommends waivers, amendments and other changes in loan terms to address credit or operational risk issues.
Prepares Credit Approval Report modifications when necessary
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be well organized and be able to work independently, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Strong leadership and teamwork with Credit Manager and other associates is essential
Ability to build partnerships across the organization
Requires PC proficiency including Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience in loan monitoring, documentation preparation /review, and a working knowledge of GMS system
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics and/or 2 to 3 years of Commercial or Private Banking Underwriting / Credit Analysis experience is preferred
