Bank of America Informatica Administrator in Charlotte, North Carolina
This position involves end to end platform administration & support tasks across the ETL COE managed Informatica Software Platforms. The role will include:
Installation and Configuration of the Informatica Software
Coordinate/Plan & Execution activities related to platform maintenance, Disaster Recovery and Software release management
L3+ escalation for Platform Issue resolution, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Configuration and tuning of production and lower-level environments
Perform Capacity & Stability monitoring
Assist with Platform metrics collection and reporting
Contribute to definition, review, documentation & communication of standards and Best Practices
Required Skills & Experience:
Hands on Experience with the Informatica PowerCenter v9.x and v10x Software Installation and Configuration
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix
Proven troubleshooting & issues resolution skills
Ability to analyze & communicate root cause and resolution steps
Familiarity with Informatica Best Practices
Working knowledge of the Informatica software security model and adaptability
Informatica PowerCenter v9.x / v10xSoftware Installation/Configuration & Unix/Linux
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Working knowledge of the key elements & differentiators of PowerCenter V10.x and v9.6
Familiarity with Kerberos v5.x configuration and integration to Informatica v10.x and v9.6
Experience with connectivity configuration for data virtualization software such as Composite
Working knowledge of Control-SA and AD authentication models and LDAP integration to Informatica PowerCenter v9.x/v10.x
Generally requires 5-10 years of experience.
Enterprise Role Overview:
Participates in design, development and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements. Contributes to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions. Develops prototypes of the system design and works with database, operations, technical support and other IT areas as appropriate throughout development and implementation processes. May lead multiple projects with competing deadlines. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations, as well as mentor junior band 5 Architect 1's. Provides input on staffing, budget and personnel. Typically 7 or more years of architecture experience.
